Leadership Roles and Responsibilities

 

Junior Assistant Scoutmaster
Required Rank: Life
Appointed by: Scoutmaster
Reports to: Scoutmaster
SHOULD participate in the Troop Leadership Conference after elections.

Responsibilities:
Set the example for Scouts through the wearing of the uniform correctly and by living by the Scout Oath and Law.  Functions as an Assistant Scoutmaster and performs duties as assigned by a Scoutmaster.

 

Senior Patrol Leader
Required Rank: 1st Class
Elected Term: 1 Year
Elected by the Troop each August.
Reports to: Scoutmaster
Required Experience: Previous service as ASPL or PL
MUST participate in the Troop Leadership Conference after elections.

Responsibilities:
Set the example for Scouts through the wearing of the uniform correctly, by living by the Scout Oath and Law, and by being an active Scout.  You must call the Scoutmaster if you are not going to be at a meeting or if you suddenly have to miss an outing.  You also need to make sure that the Assistant SPL is ready to assume your responsibilities.

The SPL is the junior leader with the most responsibility

 

Assistant Senior Patrol Leader
Required Rank: 2nd Class
Elected Term: 1 Year
Elected by the Troop each August.
Reports to: Scoutmaster
Required Experience: Previous service as PL or APL
MUST participate in the Troop Leadership Conference after elections.

Elected Term: 1 Year
Appointed by the Patrol Leader
Reports to: Patrol Leader
SHOULD participate in the Troop Leadership Conference after elections.
